There are so many aspects to consider such as the venue, the guest count, catering services, and even the bar arrangements. It’s normal to feel overwhelmed. but take one step at a time and remember to enjoy the process.

  1. KNOW HOW MANY VENDORS TO HIRE

When planning your wedding, it can often feel overwhelming to decide which professional vendors you should hire. In order to alleviate some of that stress, we would like to provide you with a comprehensive list of recommended vendors that will surely enhance your special day and make it even more memorable.

  • PHOTOGRAPHER
  • FLORIST
  • MAKEUP ARTIST
  • HAIR STYLIST
  • CATERING COMPANY
  • LICSENCED BARTENDER
  • DJ OR LIVE BAND
  • VIDEOGRAPHER
  • STATIONARY

There are numerous other vendors you can have at your wedding, such as a coffee bar, photobooth, car rentals for exit, a rental company for decor, and so much more. When you are searching for these vendors, it is important to thoroughly examine reviews and pricing in order to ensure you receive a fair estimate of what your budget could be. Taking these factors into consideration will greatly contribute to the success of your special day.

2.FIND YOUR BUDGET

When you decide you are ready to start the wedding planning process, the very first thing you will need to do is find your budget. Research average cost for vendors, for example the ones listed above, to help give you a total amount idea. Also find out who in the family is willing to help pay for things, whether that be a photographer or florist. Or if you have a parent who is paying for the whole wedding, find out how much they are willing to spend.
When writing your budget, be open about your wants and needs. Figure out what you need for your wedding like a venue, wedding planner, photographer, versus what you want, like a photobooth, exit car, or animal rentals. Put the needs for your wedding first, before the wants. Remember, it’s important to create a budget that aligns with your priorities and financial situation.

3. FIND YOUR THEME

You probably have had an idea of this for a long time if you’ve always dreamed of getting married, but working with your partner on agreeing on a theme might not be as simple. As well working with a budget.
Have both you and your partner make a pinterest board of what both your ideas are for the wedding. Different types could be: modern, boho, hipster, rustic, classic, etc. Furthermore, it is advisable to discuss your preferences and expectations in detail. It is crucial to ensure that both partners are on the same page and have a clear vision for the wedding theme. Don’t forget to consider your financial limitations and find creative ways to accommodate your desired theme within your budget. It may help to consult with a wedding planner or browse through various online resources for inspiration and advice on how to bring your dream wedding to life. Remember that compromise and open communication are key to a successful wedding planning process.

4. FIND A VENUE

After finding your theme, the very first thing you want to do is get an estimated date on when you’d like to get married, I always recommend at least 12+ months for wedding planning. Do not set a date until you confirm with the wedding venue that they are available for your date. Remember, wedding venues are always the first thing couples book, so dates go fast, do not wait!
When searching for a wedding venue, make sure to always book a walk-thru before booking. Ask about different packages they offer, what comes with the venue when renting it, and also inquire about potential discounts and additional services they might provide. It might help save on your budget! Additionally, take the time to discuss any specific preferences or requirements you have for the venue, such as the capacity, amenities, and available accommodations for guests.
